Coba Archeological Site is 50 minutes from Casa Dibou. Bring good walking shoes, there’s a lot of walking to do. You can also rent bikes on the site and it is pretty convenient and fun to ride then on the site.
Don’t forget to bring water and mosquito repellent. After your visit to Coba you can continue your visit to the 3 cenotes .. they are pretty amazing .. count at least 75- 80 steps each cenote !! You won’t regret it they are spectacular !
“Coba is located around two lagoons. A series of elevated stone and plaster roads radiate from the central site to various smaller sites near and far. These are known by the Maya term sacbe (plural sacbeob) or white road. Some of these causeways go east, and the longest runs over 100 kilometres (62 mi) westwards to the site of Yaxuna. “
